Pre-view Combined events Release – part 1 (season 65)
(08:00 20-05-2018) |
After skipping a season we plan to have a release with new features at the start of season 65 (9 June 2018). Combined events The main new feature will be the first step of the introduction of combined events (Pentathlon, Heptathlon, Decathlon). There will be a new Specialty called ‘Combined events’. This Specialty will include four Events: - Men’s Pentathlon (Long Jump, Javelin Throw, 200m, Discus Throw, 1500m) - Men’s Decathlon (100m, Long Jump, Shot Put, High Jump, 400m, 110m hurdles, Discus Throw, Pole Vault, Javelin Throw, 1500m) - Women’s Pentathlon (100m hurdles, High Jump, Shot Put, Long Jump, 800m) - Women’s Heptathlon (100m hurdles, High Jump, Shot Put, 200m, Long Jump, Javelin Throw, 800m) Combined events athletes will have these two Special skills: Versatility and Mental strength. The Weekly test page will show tests for the combined events and for each individual event in the combined events. The weekly tests for the combined events will happen on Monday. During season 65 the combined events will be included in the Youth League. The results of the combined events will not be included in the total Standings of the competition. The athletes limit in the youth squad will be increased to 18 next season. The athletes limit in the main squad will be increased to 66 at the beginning of season 66. Combined event athletes can make use of any coach (of course athletes in the Main team cannot be assigned to Youth coaches). To cover the extra athletes, the maximum number of coaches in the main team will increase to 11 (from season 66). Change of Form or experience and the risk of injuries per complete combined event will be the same as an individual event: there will be no Form or experience change per individual discipline of a combined event. The area dressing room can be extended with an additional 12m2 to allow organizing all events including the combined events. The maximum dressing room limit will now be 156m2 There are no specific skills weights for the Combined events athletes, the skill weight per individual event will be used per discipline. So athletes with high skills on Strength and Throwing will be good in the throwing disciplines, but might be worse in running events, etc. Relay ranking Currently a relay team was only displayed in the seasonal rankings with the best performance of the season. This means that when you change a seniors team to a U21 team, the team will only be in the U21 season ranking if it improves the seasons best for the team. Since many users were confused, the next release will change this system: Every time a relay team changes category we will allow it to register a new time in the rankings even if it is not an improved time. Bugs and small enhancements A number of small changes will be included in this release. One of these fixes is that the system will again untick the options “Use the standard lineup in the National League” and “Use the standard lineup in the Youth league” after 30 days without login. This fix is already live. The development team, Ned, Apolo, Ivanovik, Claire_Grube & Guyvandamme |
