Maxithlon blows its' 3rd candle!

Aaand... Maxithlon has reached the third year of continuous play.
Are you curious to know some numbers about these 1095 days of activity? More than half a million athletes have crossed the Maxithlon's world door, totalizing almost 10 million events. The federation section register something like 250,000 posts with a constant increase of our users' participation, that in a lot of countries are everyday more united within themselves. The next World Games will be the first real test for this movement that has borned during these last months and we obviously wish a huge good luck to all those that are trying to participate, to all those that surely will attend that event and especially to all those that either directly or indirectly will take part in it on the 27th of May.

But let's now come to the Maxithlon's improvement and development status.

Translations

Maxithlon is nowadays completely available in over 15 languages and we hope that, thanks to our Translators' work, other languages will soon be available. About this, we repeat that all the Users that would like to help us in translating the game could please contact us in order to expand our Staff.

New Features

In this moment we believe that Maxithlon's improvement should follow the line of the creation of the new contents, new statistics and other features that will allow to every User to be able to check in a deeper way his own activity and also the one of the Clubs close to him and, most of all, the activity of the top Maxithlon's athletes and Clubs.
These aspects are currently absent from Maxithlon's logics and will surely be particularly developed during the upcoming months. As usual, suggestions and proposals in the International Federation are welcome, in order to permit us to get the largest number of ideas during the development of these innovations.

New design

It is currently under development a new site design, that is now too old. We'll keep a part of the minimalist style that has always characterized the site, still introducing some innovations in order to make it more modern. Thanks to this site's re-design, lots of page will be re-written in order to make them faster. This transition phase will be completed by the end of the summer 2009.

Technical structure

Maxithlon's infrastructure keeps ensuring us all a good reliability, capable for months to obtain monthly downtime for a total of less than 5 minutes (certified by an external partner). We'll keep investing in order to avoid similar problems, thanks to the valuable effort supported by our MaxiTrainer. From the Surveys that we've done twice over Maxithlon's population, we're aware of the fact that many Users prefer to have an always online site, rather than to obtain new feature.
